What it is
MT-2 is a synthetic cyclic analogue of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone. A lactam bridge locks the peptide into a constrained ring, a modification that both narrows the range of conformations it can adopt and slows enzymatic degradation relative to the linear natural hormone, which is what makes it a durable tool compound for receptor work.
The peptide ships as a lyophilised powder in a sealed 10 mg glass vial. Each lot carries a Certificate of Analysis recording identity and purity. Supplied as a laboratory reference material for research use only, and not for human or veterinary use.
What the research explores
This compound appears in cell-biology literature as a melanocortin receptor probe. Studied areas include:

Questions
How should the vial be stored?
Keep the sealed vial cool, dry and out of direct light before opening. After reconstitution, store refrigerated and treat the solution as short-lived. Repeated freeze-thaw cycles degrade peptide integrity.
How is the lyophilised powder reconstituted?
Solvent is typically added slowly down the inner wall of the vial and dissolved by gentle swirling rather than shaking. The researcher determines solvent, concentration and protocol. We do not provide dosing or administration guidance of any kind.
What does the Certificate of Analysis cover?
The batch COA documents compound identity and chromatographic purity for the lot you receive, along with its lot identifier and test date. It characterises the material as supplied and is not a clinical or regulatory approval.
