What it is
Sermorelin is a synthetic peptide reproducing the first 29 amino acids of human growth hormone-releasing hormone. That truncated sequence is the shortest fragment of GHRH known to retain full activity at its receptor, which is why it became a standard laboratory tool for probing the hypothalamic-pituitary axis rather than a longer full-length construct.
It ships as a lyophilised powder in a sealed 10 mg glass vial. Each lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis recording compound identity and chromatographic purity. Material is sold as a laboratory reference standard for research use only and is not for human or veterinary use.
What the research explores
Sermorelin appears in the literature primarily as a reference agonist for the GHRH receptor, a class B GPCR expressed on pituitary somatotrophs. Research topics include:
- Receptor binding affinity and cAMP signalling in somatotroph cell models
- Pulsatile versus continuous receptor stimulation and the resulting secretory patterns in animal models
- Comparison against longer-acting GHRH analogues to isolate the contribution of half-life to signalling
- Enzymatic degradation by dipeptidyl peptidase-4 and strategies for stabilising the N-terminus
Each item above describes an area of published investigation. None is a statement of benefit. Elements DNA supplies this peptide for in vitro and preclinical laboratory work only.
Questions
How should the vial be stored?
Keep the sealed vial cool, dry and away from light until opened. Once reconstituted, store refrigerated and treat the solution as short-lived. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, which degrade peptide integrity.
How is the lyophilised powder reconstituted?
Solvent is normally added slowly down the inside wall of the vial and dissolved by swirling rather than shaking. Solvent choice, working concentration and protocol are determined by the researcher. We do not provide dosing or administration guidance of any kind.
What does the Certificate of Analysis cover?
The batch COA documents compound identity and chromatographic purity for your specific lot, with its lot identifier and test date. It characterises the material as shipped and is not a clinical or regulatory approval.
What arrives in the shipment?
One sealed 10 mg glass vial of lyophilised powder in protective packaging, labelled with its batch identifier. Solvent, syringes and other laboratory consumables are not included.
