What it is

BPC-157 is a pentadecapeptide — fifteen amino acids in a single unbranched chain, sequence Gly-Glu-Pro-Pro-Pro-Gly-Lys-Pro-Ala-Asp-Asp-Ala-Gly-Leu-Val. It corresponds to a partial sequence of body protection compound, a protein identified in human gastric juice. The material is made by solid-phase synthesis rather than extracted, so each batch begins from defined reagents rather than from tissue.

It ships lyophilised: a dry white powder in a sealed vial, shipped at ambient temperature and reconstituted in the laboratory with bacteriostatic water. The batch identifier on the vial matches the certificate of analysis held on file for that synthesis run.

What the research explores

BPC-157 appears in the preclinical literature chiefly as a subject of tissue-repair research. The published work is animal- and cell-model based, and the peptide has no approved application in humans.

Areas investigators have examined:

  • Tendon, ligament and muscle repair models, including fibroblast migration and outgrowth in culture
  • Angiogenesis, with particular attention to VEGFR2 signalling and the nitric oxide system
  • Gastrointestinal mucosal integrity models, the context in which the parent sequence was first characterised
  • Interaction with growth factor and neurotransmitter pathways in rodent studies

Findings across this body of work are preliminary and unevenly replicated. BPC-157 is supplied strictly as a laboratory research material.

Questions

How should the vial be stored?

As a sealed lyophilised powder it is kept cool, dry and out of direct light. Ambient temperature during transit is normal for lyophilised peptides and is not a problem. Once reconstituted, the vial belongs in a refrigerator.

What does the certificate of analysis cover?

The COA records the analytical results for the specific batch in your vial: identity confirmation, purity by HPLC, and the batch identifier printed on the label. We hold one on file for every synthesis run and will send the PDF on request.

What arrives in the package?

The sealed vial of lyophilised peptide, labelled with its lot number. Nothing is pre-mixed. Bacteriostatic water and reconstitution supplies are listed separately in the catalogue.

Is the 20 mg vial different material from the 10 mg?

No. Both hold the same lyophilised peptide from the same synthesis and testing process, and both carry a batch-matched COA. The only difference is the quantity in the vial.

Which lot is BPC-157's published certificate for?

Lot 1500-501, measured 99.90% by HPLC, tested Jun 27, 2026, by Pacific Coast Biologics Inc. The full certificate, including the laboratory's own assay rows, is published at /coa/SXPR6UCKPL.
