What it is
Epitalon is a tetrapeptide — alanine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, glycine — designed as a synthetic counterpart to Epithalamin, a pineal gland extract characterised in Soviet gerontology research. Where the extract was an undefined mixture, Epitalon is a single defined sequence, which is what made systematic study of it possible.
It belongs to the same short-peptide-bioregulator programme as Pinealon and shares that programme's central hypothesis: that very short sequences can reach chromatin and influence transcription directly. It ships as a lyophilised powder in a sealed vial, reconstituted in the laboratory with bacteriostatic water.
What the research explores
Epitalon is examined within the gerontology and chronobiology literature, most of it originating from a small number of Russian research groups.

- Melatonin secretion rhythms and pineal function in animal models

Independent replication outside those institutions is limited and the findings should be read as preliminary. Epitalon is supplied as a research material with no approved application in humans.

How does Epitalon differ from Epithalamin?
Epithalamin is a pineal gland extract, meaning a mixture whose composition varies with the preparation. Epitalon is a single synthetic tetrapeptide with a defined sequence, which is why the analytical documentation can mean something.
What does the certificate of analysis cover?
Identity confirmation and purity by HPLC for the specific batch in your vial, with the batch identifier matching the vial label. We hold one on file for every synthesis run and will send the PDF on request.
How is the vial stored?
Sealed, cool, dry and out of direct light. Lyophilised tetrapeptides are stable in that state, so ambient transit temperature is expected. Refrigerate the vial after reconstitution.
What arrives with the order?
