Certificate status

Supplied as manufactured.

Reconstitution Solution (10mL) carries the manufacturer's own lot marking on the vial rather than a Certificate of Analysis from our testing lab. The peptide panel describes compounds, not solvents, so none is claimed here.

What it is

A 10 mL sealed vial of sterile, non-pyrogenic solvent: purified water with a preservative added for multi-use stability, so the vial can be entered more than once. It is the small-format solvent option — the same job as a 30 mL bacteriostatic vial, in a quantity suited to a single compound or a short run of work rather than a stocked bench.

Reconstitution comes first in any workflow involving a lyophilised compound. What ships is dry powder under seal; it has to be dissolved in a sterile solvent before it can be measured, diluted, aliquoted or held as a solution, and solvent is never included with a compound order. For an order containing one vial of peptide, this is the smaller and cheaper way to make it workable.

How it's used in the lab

This is a solvent, not a research compound, so the context worth giving is practical. Its function in a laboratory workflow is single and specific: to return lyophilised material to solution at a known volume, since the volume added is what sets the concentration of the resulting solution.

The preservative allows the vial to be entered repeatedly rather than being spent on one draw. The exact preservative and its concentration are printed on the vial label, and we do not restate a figure here that we cannot document. Standard handling otherwise applies — wipe the stopper before each entry, use a fresh sterile needle, keep the vial sealed and out of direct light, and observe the printed expiry. Reconstituted solutions are ordinarily refrigerated; the unopened solvent vial is not.

Questions

What does this do?

It dissolves lyophilised compounds. Anything lyophilised ships as dry powder and stays unusable until a sterile solvent brings it into solution — this is that solvent, in a 10 mL format.

When would 10 mL be chosen over a 30 mL vial?

Volume is the only practical difference. 10 mL suits a single compound or a short piece of work; 30 mL suits a bench that reconstitutes regularly.

How is it supplied?

One sealed 10 mL vial. Syringes, needles and compounds are not included.

How should it be stored?

At room temperature, out of direct light, sealed between entries. Use the expiry date printed on the vial rather than a date estimated from the order.
